¹駆けてく (kaketeku) means "to run, dash, race". I opted for "streaking" because that term is often used when comets pass through the skies.

²人魂 (hitodama) can be translated to "disembodied soul", "spirit of a dead person" and even "supernatural fiery ball". In Japanese folklore, it is said to be "a wandering soul of a newly-deceased and therefore to be some sort of a ghost."
